Do I need a heatsink motor plate on upgrade that involves M140 or
above?
How do I effectively reduce heat on the motor?
ICS offers so-called heat sink motor plates. As we all know, heat is one thing that
can kill the motor easily.
Heat gets accumulated mostly on the metal frame of the motor, but it is the
plastic cap of the motor which is in direct contact with the motor plate. Without
direct contact the usefulness of the heat sink is doubtful. Frankly, by the time
this heat sink is heated up, your motor has been severely over-heated already
To reduce heat without forgoing power, you are advised to switch to the high
torque gear set. The high torque gear set has a different gear ratio that makes
high workload truly affordable.
