6.3.4 Configuration
For setting up the sensors in the SensorMan make sure your configuration matches your
sensor type, e.g. see example:
Figure 58: HTTP - SENSORMANAGER Settings
Using the splitting plugs (Part NO.SPSMRJ) it is possible to connect up to 8 sensors and 4
contacts to the SensorMan. A Mounting Kit (sold separately) is available for affixing the
SensorMan to walls and railings.
The power supply for the SensorMan may also supply an external CS121 using a SM-CS121
type cable (sold separately) by simply connecting the Power-out of the SensorMan with the
Power-in of the CS121 external.
Note: A combination of CS121 – SITESWITCH 4 SENSORMANAGER in a
compact chassis is the SITEMANAGER – for more information about
this Rackmonitoring and management device please refer to GENEREX
website.
Startup the Sensor Manager:
Connect the sensors to the SensorMan. Connect the SensorMan using the Mini8-DBSub9
cable to the COM 2 port of the CS121. Finally, plug the power supply into one of the UPS
power outlets. Check the green LEDs on the bottom of the SensorMan; one should be flashing
when reading data, and the other should be constantly lit. The flashing LED shows the
requests from the CS121 – this means the installation is OK. The other LED shows that the
device has started.
Note: You have to configure the CS121 COM2 port to “SensorMan” –
otherwise the CS121 will not start making requests to the Sensor
Manager.
When the SENSORMANAGER is running, you will see the values in the AUX section of the
CS121 Web browser.
