Fault Possible cause Solution
No sound During operation with a
television set:
Audio cable not connected
WARNING:
Before searching for the fault, please turn the device o .
Check the correct  t of the Audio cable. Make sure that the
jacks are tightly in the sockets.
Volume turned to low
Increase the volume by pre3ssing the VOL + () buttons
(Fig. 1/12 / Fig. 3/28).
Headphones not correctly
inserted
Check that the headphones are correctly positioned.
Ampli er switched o If you use an ampli er for Audio output: check whether the
ampli er is switched on.
Incorrect settings Check the settings of your DVD-Player.
The remote control
does not work
Wrong direction The remote control is not pointed towards the DVD-Player.
Too far away Make sure that the remote control is not further than 5 m
away from the player.
Batterie empty Replace the batteries in the remote control.
Titles are played in
wrong order
Playlist is used Delete the playlist.
DVD cannot be
played
DVD has not been  nalized Use a  nalized DVD.
No DVB-T reception The station being received is
too weak for reception via the
telescopic aerial.
Turn the aerial or connect your roof or room aerial.
No DVB-T reception in your
region.
The station being received is
too weak.
Realign the aerial.
The AV IN/OUT switch (Fig.
2/24) is turned to „IN“.
Turn the AV IN/OUT switch to „OUT“.

Disposal
At the end of the service life of the appliance, in particular if it is mal-
functioning, make the appliance unusable by pulling the mains plug out
of the socket and separating the power cable. Dispose of the appliance
according to the environmental regulations applicable in your country.
Electrical waste may not be disposed of together with household waste.
